Heavy weight gantry crane overhead crane 50ton 100ton hook with safety latch is one of the most common lifting appliances in lifting machinery. The hook is usually hung on the wire rope of the hoisting mechanism or trolley with the help of pulley block and other parts. It is divided into single hook and double hook according to its shape, forged hook and strapped hook according to its manufacturing method, and five strength grades of M, P, S, T and V according to its mechanical properties. When the capacity is large, double hook with symmetrical load carrying will be used.

The single hook is easy to manufacture and use, but the stress condition is not good, and it is mostly used in the work place with lifting capacity less than 80 tons; the double hook with symmetrical stress is often used when the lifting capacity is large. The laminated hook is riveted by several pieces of cut and formed steel plates. When individual plates have cracks, the whole hook will not be damaged, and the safety is good, but the self weight is large, which is mostly used in the crane with large lifting capacity or lifting the steel bucket. The hook is often impacted during operation, so it must be made of high quality carbon steel with good toughness.
