●Location: Bangkok, Thailand.
●Application: Heavy steel structure workshop for material transfer between cutting and welding.
●Challenges: High temperatures and humidity required high-precision, fatigue-resistant equipment.
Therefore, HSCRANE provided the customer with a customized 2 ton pillar jib crane.
The customer previously relied on forklifts for 1.5-ton steel plates. This method caused three major problems:
1.Low Efficiency: Production lines often stopped while waiting for available forklifts.
2.Safety Risks: Narrow aisles increased the risk of collisions with workers.
3.High Damage Rate: Edges of precision-cut steel were easily damaged during forklift loading.
We provided a reinforced BZ-type pillar jib crane for high-intensity subtropical conditions.

Technical Index |
Specifications |
Design Description |
| Rated Load | 2,000 kg | A5 duty class design for long-life service. |
| Effective Arm Length | 6 m | Covers a larger radius to reduce blind spots. |
| Pillar Height | 5.5 m | High space utilization to avoid welding platforms. |
| Slewing Speed | 0.5 ~ 0.7 r/min | VFD speed control ensures smooth starts and stops. |
| Protection Grade | IP55 / Class H | Stronger motor cooling for high humidity environments. |
| Safety Devices | Overload Protection | Ensures equipment safety during high-frequency operation. |
●Special Tropical Coating: Surfaces undergo Sa2.5 shot blasting for high-humidity resistance. We use epoxy zinc-rich primers and polyurethane finishes. The total thickness exceeds 120μm to prevent corrosion for ten years.
●Smooth VFD Slewing: We provide VFD control for rotation as a standard feature. This allows the 6-meter arm to start and stop smoothly. It solves alignment difficulties caused by load swinging and inertia.
●Minimal Maintenance Costs: The collector ring system allows 360° rotation without tangling cables. The design is intuitive for local technicians to maintain easily. Only regular lubrication checks are required for long-term operation.
After three months, the factory manager reported the following improvements:
●Faster Workflow: The production cycle shortened by approximately 25%.
●Reduced Labor: Tasks requiring three people now only need one remote operator.
●Space Optimization: The fixed pillar design freed up two forklift aisles.
“In Southeast Asia, the 2-ton pillar jib crane is the most cost-effective investment. It is essential for modern lean workshops to reduce heavy labor. We always suggest extra electrical redundancy for harsh tropical climates.”
